Homemade almond milk makes an excellent latte base, but requires a bit of practice. To start with - make almond milk using our basic almond milk recipe. We recommend 1 tablespoon of coconut sugar as the sweetener in this to aid in frothing.
Yield: As many cups as you need!
- Coffee Beans
- 1 Cup Almond Cow almond milk
Take fresh coffee beans, grind, and prepare espresso normally. Steam froth almond milk in a metal cup, keeping tip closer to the top than you normally would with milk-based lattes. An alternative to using a steamer is a mechanical frother. Use this as you would with normal cream or milk.
Pour frothed milk gently onto freshly drawn espresso shot.
