Milk Tea with Boba

This delicious milk tea is perfect for any occasion! You can use any plant-based milk of your choice, but we love using cashew milk for its rich and creamy texture.

Ingredients

  • *For the Cashew Milk*
  • 1 cup cashew
  • Water to the MIN line of the Almond Cow base
  • Optional: 2 tbsp maple syrup, 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1 pinch salt
  • *For the Milk Tea*
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup (optional to taste),
  • 1 cup cashew milk (or milk of your choosing)
  • *For the Boba*
  • 1/2 cup tapioca pearls
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (to sweeten pearls)

Directions

  1. *Make the Cashew Milk*
  2. Add cashews to the filter basket of your Almond Cow and fill the base with water to the Min line.
  3. Press the cow to start the milk making process.
  4. *Brew the Tea*
  5. Boil 2 cups of water and steep tea bags for 5-7 minutes (adjust based on your preferred tea strength).
  6. Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool slightly.
  7. *Prepare the Boba Pearls*
  8. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the tapioca pearls according to package instructions (usually 5-10 minutes).
  9. Strain the pearls and rinse under cold water.
  10. Toss the pearls in brown sugar to coat and sweeten them.
  11. *Assemble the Milk Tea*
  12. Add boba pearls to the bottom of a glass.
  13. Fill the glass with ice (optional), then pour in the tea and cashew milk (or your preferred milk).
  14. Sweeten with maple syrup or brown sugar if needed. Stir well.
  15. *Sip & Enjoy*
  16. Serve with a wide straw and enjoy your creamy, homemade milk tea with boba!
