Hazelnut Hot Chocolate

  • 1 cup raw hazelnuts
  • ¼ cup raw cacao powder
  • 2-3 pitted medjool dates (or 2-3 tbsp maple syrup)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Filtered water


Preheat oven to 350 F. Place raw hazelnuts onto a lined baking sheet and bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes until hazelnuts are lightly colored and skins are blistered. Let cool down and transfer with the dates into the filter basket. Fill almond cow with filtered water up to the min or max line and add salt and cacao powder. Assemble and press the button. To serve hot, heat chocolate milk in a small pot over medium-high heat. Store any leftovers in an airtight container or milk jug in the refrigerator for up to three days.
