FAQ
What kinds of milk can be made in the Almond Cow?
Don’t let the name fool you. You can use any nuts, seeds, or grains that you like including, but not limited to, almonds, oats, coconut & cashews.
What quantity of nuts, seeds, oats & base can I use to make my milk?
We recommend using ½ to 1 full cup of raw ingredients - any combination of nuts, seeds, and grains that you like - to make milk in your Almond Cow. (Most plant-based milks in stores use very little in the way of actual nuts or seeds. They’re mostly water and a large amount of artificial thickeners, fillers, and flavorings.)
Coconut water, hot water or other liquids can be used in the base of the machine in place of regular water. Fruit can be used but is not the best base for milk.
How much milk is made in one batch?
5-6 cups or 40-48 ounces of fresh plant based milk per batch.
Soaking the nuts is not required, but we do recommend it for a smoother milk.
5-6 cups or 40-48 ounces of fresh plant based milk per batch.
How is this different from a blender with a nut milk bag?
The Almond Cow automatically separates the pulp from the milk, so you don’t have to. In less than a minute, you have milk that’s ready to drink and pulp that’s ready to enjoy!
How do I clean my Almond Cow?
A sponge and water will normally suffice, but over time the pores in the filter basket will need a deeper clean. We recommend an extended vinegar-water soak. Just take 4 cups of water and add 4 tbsp of vinegar and allow to soak overnight. Only the filter basket is dishwasher safe.
How large is the Almond Cow?
12" H x 10" D x 7" W / 30cm H x 25cm x 18cm
What is the Almond Cow machine power usage?
Power usage is 240W. Electrical rating is 120V 60Hz (US and Canada) / 220V 50Hz (EU, UK, AU, NZ, most other places). The cord is 5ft/1.5m
