Pistachio Saffron Milk
Masala Doodh is a rich and aromatic Indian beverage traditionally crafted by gently simmering milk with a blend of warming spices. Our plant-based version is just as comforting, using your favorite non-dairy milk and served hot or cold to suit the season.
Instructions
- Bloom saffron threads in a small dish with 2 tbsp warm water for 10 min
- Meanwhile if making the hot version of this drink, heat up your plant milk of choice in a small pot until it begins to steam
- Place filter basket into collector cup and pour bloomed saffron threads into filter basket (don't get rid of the saffron water that ends up in the collector cup)
- Add pistachios and spices to filter basket then attach to AC top
- Remove FB from collector cup and set aside
- Pour plant milk into collector cup, then carefully lower collector cup into base
- Assemble AC top to base and run the machine
- With a bowl ready, remove the top and set into bowl to drain for a few minutes
- Pour all milk into a glass or mug and enjoy!
