Collector cup method

The collector cup is your Almond Cow’s sidekick. It’s the round, food- and heat-safe plastic cup you will find in the base of your Milk Maker. There are multiple uses for it, but here are a few of our favorites:
Tips_and_tricks-01
Stand it - Use your collector cup to stand the filter basket in after you’ve made milk. This will help collect the last few drops of milk, and keep your countertop clean!

Make creamer - This is our fav way to use the collector cup! Our creamer is more concentrated and produces a smaller quantity than our milk recipes. Use it in various recipes or add a splash to coffee and tea. Customize it with natural sweeteners or flavorings to your liking! Click here for a classic creamer recipe.

Secure it - Use the cup as leverage to secure the filter basket to the top of the machine. You can also use the cup to detach the filter basket afterwards, too!

The Almond Cow Team's top tips

• Use the collector cup to remove and twist off the wet filter basket - it keeps your hands clean!

• Give the machine a little short shake when putting the blades in the filter basket. It lifts the ingredients out of the way of the blades and makes twisting the filter basket much easier.

• For super convenient storage, put the collector cup inside the base and then wrap the power cord around the cup. That way everything stays together in one place.

• The Almond Cow can make so much more than just milk and creamer. I was blown away by the variety of things it can make, from wellness shots, to cocktails, soups, and even baked goods!

Don’t know what to do with the pulp?

• Bake or saute it to make “bread” crumbs!
• Throw it in your baked goods for extra protein.
• Compost it!
• If you’re short on time, freeze it for later! Use a teaspoon to press the pulp into ice cube trays, then use it later in smoothies or defrost for baking.
• Eat pulpmeal straight from the basket! Top it with fruit, seeds, and/or syrup - the perfect breakfast for when you're in a hurry.

Love using the collector cup method but need just a little more milk? If 2 cups isn't quite enough, use the collector cup method as normal but when it is all done, just add 1 more cup of water to the final milk.
