Instructions

Place pecans, whole grain oats, and dates (or maple syrup) in the filter basket. Attach the filter basket to the top of the Almond Cow and twist in the direction of the close arrow to secure. Add water to the 500mL line in the collector cup. Place collector cup inside the Almond Cow base (no other water is added to the machine). Attach the top. Plug in the Almond Cow and press the cow start button. It will run through 3 automatic stages. When the light stops flashing, it is complete. Remove contents of the filter basket, and replace with carrots, orange zest, ginger, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, vanilla powder, and clove. Attach the filter basket to the top of the Almond Cow. Keep the same liquid in the collector cup. Secure top to the base and press the cow start button. It will run through 3 automatic stages. When the light stops flashing, your carrot cake creamer is ready!

  1. I tried making this recipe and didn’t have much success. The pecan and oat milk was so thick that when I put my carrot mixture into the basket, it was too dry for the almond cow to run through all 3 stages properly.
Also, I’m a fan of anything carrot cake and pumpkin spice, but the amount of each spice in here made it taste like I just grabbed a handful of those and shoved those in my mouth instead. Also, not sure if this was intended to be sweet, but even with 3 dates it was not sweet at all.
Overall, this creamer was bitter and over powering.

    1. Did you figure out recipe ingredient(s) adjustments… re. thickness & spices? I too love anything carrot cake 👍

Almond Cow folks… any thoughts on this? TY

      1. Hi there! This carrot cake creamer is meant to have a lot of flavor so when adding to coffee, tea, etc. it balances out nicely. The collector cup method is used so we recommend filling the collector cup to the 500 mL line with water and placing the cup into the base of the machine. After running the first ingredients through (pecans, whole grain oats, and dates) the pulp is removed and the remaining ingredients are added to the filter basket. Keep the same liquid in the collector cup. The 1 cup of grated carrots is following the 1 cup measurement on the filter basket. We recommend tilting the filter basket slightly and placing the blade into the filter basket and twisting the filter basket towards the close direction. Once closed you can give it a little shake to make sure the ingredients are evenly distributed in the filter basket and around the blade. Hope this helps!
