Is there a chance Almond Cow can start providing nutritional information at the bottom of their recipes? First those of us trying to correct health issues or manage them it would be a great help.
Thanks for your feedback, Lisa!
I agree with you Lisa. Having this info would be a great help! Thanks for requesting that.
Why is the collector cup used in this recipe? Can’t I just put the apple cider and water in the basin?
Hi Wojo! We use the collector cup in this recipe to get a more concentrated elixir. You’re welcome to try with water and apple cider in the base but the flavor of the Wellness Elixir won’t be as strong.
why is that so, what difference does it make doing it when the ingredients are the same? Just trying to understand.
Hi Tulasi! The collector cup holds about 2 cups of liquids (500mL) whereas the base can hold up to 6 cups of liquids. While the solid ingredients and the apple cider vinegar may be the same measurements, changing the volume of liquids, especially the amount of water, will alter the concentration and taste of the elixir. I hope this helps a bit! Cheers!
Can I use turmeric powder instead of the turmeric root? If so, what would be amount? Maximum is 1 tsp day.
Hi Joe, yes you can us turmeric powder instead of the root. A 1-inch knob of turmeric is about 1 tsp of turmeric powder. Cheers!
This is delicious!
