Spicy Watermelon Paloma, a summer cocktail with sweet and heat balance

Spicy Watermelon Paloma

5 minutes

This hot, summer take on the classic paloma is perfect for those who love a little spicy and a little sweet. It’s fruity, light, and bubbly with just a hint of heat. Perfect for sipping all season.

Servings: 2

  • 100 mL tequila
  • 400 mL grapefruit soda
  • 1 cup chopped watermelon
  • 1 lime, peel and pith removed
  • ½ - 1 chopped jalapeno; remove seeds to reduce spice level

Step 1

Add the tequila and grapefruit soda to the collector cup. Place collector cup inside the Almond Cow base.

Step 2

Add the lime, watermelon, and jalapeno to the filter basket and twist in the direction of the close arrow to secure.

Step 3

Plug in the Almond Cow and press the cow start button. It will run through 3 automatic stages. When the green light stops flashing, your Spicy Watermelon Paloma is complete.

Step 4

Use some fresh watermelon or lime to dampen the rim of two glasses and then dip them in tajin and fill with ice.

Step 5

Divide the contents of the collector cup between the two prepared glasses and garnish with a slice or two of jalapeno. Cheers!

Can omit jalapeno from the filter basket portion of the recipe to make the drink more mild.
