Homemade coconut milk is a great source of healthy fats and is a great vegan alternative to traditional dairy. Use it in your coffee, cocktails, curries, and other great things that don't necessarily start with the letter C.
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut, soaked
- 1.5L water
- Salt to taste (optional)
- Vanilla to taste (optional)
- Maple syrup or preferred sweetener (optional, we used dates here)
Soak the coconut shreds in water for 30 minutes to a few hours.
Place the coconut shreds in the AlmondCow canister with the dates (optional).
Attach the blade and top of the Almondcow to the canister and twist to secure in place.
Fill the bottom compartment with water up to the fill line and attach the top of the AlmondCow.
After pressing plugging in the machine, pressing the blend button on the top of the machine, and allowing to blend for 30 seconds, remove the top of the AlmondCow.
Pour into a container and enjoy!
