Homemade almond milk makes an excellent latte base, but requires a bit of practice. To start with - make almond milk using our basic almond milk recipe. We recommend 1 tablespoon of coconut sugar as the sweetener in this to aid in frothing.
As many cups as you need!
- Coffee Beans
- 1 Cup Raw Almonds
- 1 Tbsp Coconut Sugar
Take fresh coffee beans, grind, and prepare espresso normally.
Steam froth almond milk in metal cup, keeping tip closer to the top than you would normally with milk based lattes.
An alternative to using a steamer is a mechanical frother. Use this as you would with normal cream or milk.
Pour frothed milk gently onto freshly drawn espresso shot.
