Chickpea Milk

You read that right, you can make plant milk from chickpeas! Not only is it high in fiber and protein (a complete protein at that), but it also froths beautifully!

PREP TIME: 5 MINS

Instructions

NOTE: if using canned chickpeas, skip steps 1 & 5.

1. Place dried chickpeas in a large container, cover with filtered water and soak overnight or for at least 12 hours.
2. Once ready, drain and rinse soaked chickpeas very well.
3. Place all ingredients in the filter basket. Attach the filter basket to the top of the Almond Cow by twisting in the direction of the close arrow to secure.
3. Fill the Almond Cow base to the MIN line (5 cups) with water, attach the top to the base.
4. Plug in the Almond Cow and press the cow start button. It will run through 3 automatic stages. When the green light stops flashing, it is complete!
5. After making the chickpea milk in your Almond Cow, cook it on medium heat for 20 minutes or until it comes to a boil, stirring continuously.
