Instructions

(3 cycle recipe – one apple at a time) Fill collector cup with water to the 500 mL line. Place into the base of the machine (no other liquid is used). Cut 1 apple into small pieces (we recommend at least in half and then into 8ths) and place in filter basket. Add all of the spices into filter basket. Attach the filter basket to the top of the Almond Cow and twist in the direction of the close arrow to secure. Attach the top to the base. Plug in the Almond Cow and press the cow start button. It will run through 3 automatic stages. When the light stops flashing, it is complete. Remove pulp from filter basket. Cut the second apple into small pieces (in half and into 8ths) add to filter basket. Leave the same liquid you already have in the collector cup. Attach the filter basket to the top of the Almond Cow and twist in the direction of the close arrow to secure. Attach the top to the base and press the cow start button. Remove pulp from filter basket. Cut the third apple into small pieces (in half and into 8ths) add to filter basket. Continue to use the same liquid you have in the collector cup. Attach the filter basket to the top of the Almond Cow and twist in the direction of the close arrow to secure. Attach the top to the base and press the cow start button. Your apple cider is ready to enjoy!

    1. Hi Denise! Yes, just as Rochelle mentioned, you can eat the pulp as is like an applesauce or add it to a smoothie, baked goods or freeze it in ice cube trays for later use!

  1. Love this!!
Why do you leave the colector inside? Do I have to do this? I’ve never used it. What other things do you leave it inside for?

    1. Thank you Karla! Using the collector cup helps get a more concentrated apple cider as you are only using liquid in the collector cup to the 500mL line. The collector cup method is used for any plant-based milk or beverage where you want a more concentrated liquid (such as a creamer) or just simply to make less per batch.

  2. For some reason, my apples weren’t blending in the machine. They were whole pieces when the cycle was finished. The machine spun really fast, and the motor seemed hot and when I took the apples out, I saw steam rising. I got the color and flavor in my drink, but there were literally still whole pieces no pulp at all.
